The singer known as Olivia Rox was born Olivia Isabella Hannah Hill on January 16, 1999, in Boulder, Colorado, and then relocated to Agoura Hills, California. The daughter of saxophonist Warren Hill and music producer Tamara Van Cleef, she had a rich musical upbringing and began singing at a very young age. When she was just 14 years old, she auditioned for the eighth season of America’s Got Talent but didn't pass the qualifying rounds. In 2016, Olivia Rox was selected to participate in the reality music competition American Idol, making it to the final Top 10. Following her elimination from the show, she released the singles “It Girl” (2017) and “Say Goodbye” (2018), followed by her studio debut PopRox in 2019. During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, Olivia Rox released the acoustic album Just a Girl & Her Guitar, made available for free download as a way to give back to her fans. That year, she also issued the politically-committed single “Go Vote” and the holiday song “It’s Christmas Time,” which peaked at Number 27 on the Holiday charts. “Princess,” her first single of 2021, entered the Adult Contemporary chart at Number 27.
