Pailita, born Carlos Javier Rain Pailacheo on February 4, 2000, in Punta Arenas, Chile, is one of the leading figures in the Chilean urban music scene. With a background rooted in his Mapuche heritage, Pailita initially pursued a promising career in football, representing the Magallanes region in the Juegos Binacionales de la Araucanía. However, a heart condition forced him to leave the sport, leading him to focus on music while studying Industrial Electricity at Inacap in Punta Arenas. He gained recognition through digital platforms, sharing freestyle performances and early tracks. In 2021, he moved to Santiago to pursue music full-time, making a breakthrough with the song "Dímelo Ma" alongside Marcianeke. His 2022 single "HOOKA" further solidified his presence in the Chilean music scene. Pailita's return to Punta Arenas for a free concert in May 2022 drew 14,000 fans, marking a triumphant homecoming. Later that year, he performed at Teletón 2022 with Polimá Westcoast and opened for Bad Bunny at the National Stadium. His track "Llámame Bebé" with Cris Mj and Young Cister topped the streaming global debut charts in January 2023, becoming the first Chilean song to achieve this milestone. Recognized as an "Illustrious Citizen" of Punta Arenas, Pailita dropped his debut album De la Zona Más Extrema in 2024, featuring contributions from Pablo Chill-E, Juanka, Brray, Nio Garcia, Kevin Roldan, Juhn, Justin Quiles, El Jordan 23, Cris Mj, and Galee Galee.
