Park Koon

Park Koon (Park Goon), born Junwoo Park on March 9, 1986, in Ulsan, South Korea, is a former South Korean soldier turned popular trot singer. Renowned for his rugged charisma and resonant voice, Park's journey from the military to music is both inspiring and unique. His debut single, "Let's Have a Drink" (2019), catapulted him to fame, resonating with office workers and soldiers alike. Its catchy melody and relatable lyrics garnered over 10 million views on YouTube, solidifying his place as a top trot artist. The song’s success led to widespread acclaim and parodies, marking Park as a household name in the trot genre. Leveraging his military background as a former special forces soldier, Park gained further popularity among soldiers and the general public. In 2020, he began appearing on music programs, expanding his fan base. Park showcased his talents in the survival programs Trot God 2 – Last Chance and Steel Troops, later taking on the role of main MC in Steel Troops 2. Park's discography includes "Hanjanhae" (2019), a cheer song for Samsung Lions’ Kim Dong-yeop, "Eungsong" (2021), a promotional duet with Hongja, and "Don’t Make a U-turn!"
