Parmish Verma began attracting attention in the Punjabi film industry during the 2010s, initially working as a music video director before expanding his career to include film roles and musical releases. He was born on July 3, 1990, in Patiala, India, and made his debut as a video director in 2009. Verma's catalog of clips quickly grew, and over the eight years that followed, he directed videos for playback singers like Sharry Mann, Nimrat Khaira, and Ninja. By 2017, he'd transformed himself into an actor by landing the lead role in the action film Rocky Mental. He also launched a singing career that same year with the release of two singles, "Le Chakk Main Aa Gaya" and "Gaal Ni Kadni." Both songs were written by composer Desi Crew, who became one of Parmish Vera's most frequent collaborators. The two worked together on another round of releases in 2018 — including "Kach Pakke Yaar," "San Fade Jange," and "Shada" — and continued their partnership with 2019's "4 Yaar," "Pinda Wale Jatt," and "Chal Oye." Meanwhile, Verma starred in the 2019 action movie Singham and the 2020 romance Jinde Meriye while continuing to further his music career with a steady stream of non-album singles. 2020's "Diamond Da Challa" found him duetting with Neha Kakkar, while songs like 2021's "Hor Das" and 2022's "Zindagi" maintained his popularity in India.
