Composed of DJs and producers Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles, Peking Duk is an Australian electronic music duo formed in the capital of Canberra in the 2010s. They rose to prominence in 2012 after they released a bootleg remix of Passion Pit’s “Take a Walk.” In 2014, they broke into the Australian Top 10 with the singles “High,” featuring Nicole Millar, and “Take Me Over,” with SAFIA. Both of these tracks obtained platinum certification and were included in their 2015 debut EP Songs to Sweat To. That same year, they made their Coachella debut and scored yet another platinum single with the song “Say My Name.” In the following years, they further raised their profile with the Elliphant collaborative single “Stranger” (2016), which reached Number 5 in Australia, and teamed up with AlunaGeorge on the Top 40 single “Fake Magic” (2017). Their second EP Reprisal arrived in 2018 and was soon certified triple-platinum, paving the way for a string of collaborations with Jack River (“Sugar,” 2019) and The Wombats (“Nothing to Love About Love,” 2020).
