Petit Brabancon

Formed in 2021, Petit Brabancon is a heavy metal supergroup featuring vocalist Kyo, drummer yukihiro, guitarist Miya, bassist Hirofumi Takamatsu, and guitarist antz. The band's five members had individually performed in different Japanese bands prior to Petit Brabancon's launch. Kyo was the frontman of the heavy metal group Dir En Grey, yukihiro was a longtime member of the chart-topping rock band L'Arc-en-Ciel, Takamatsu was a member of The Novembers, Miya was the leader of the visual kei rock band Mucc, and Kiyomi "antz" Watanabe played guitar for the shoegaze band Tokyo Shoegazer. Together, they made their debut as Petit Brabancon at a Nippon Budokan show sponsored by Danger Crue Records, the same label that once released music by L'Arc-en-Ciel. A digital single, "Koku / Kawaki," was released days before the show in late 2021, followed by the physical release of "Kawaki" the following spring. "Kawaki" became a hit, peaking at Number 42 on the Oricon Singles Chart and Number 39 on Billboard Japan Top Singles. A full-length album, Fetish, followed in August 2022, climbing to Number 28 on Billboard Japan Top Albums, Number 32 on the Oricon Chart, and Number 29 on Billboard Japan Top Albums. One year later, Petit Brabancon charted even higher with Automata, an EP featuring five new songs. Automata hit Number 24 on the Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart.
