Taiwanese actor and singer Pets Tseng Pei-tzu, known professionally as Pets Tseng, was born in Taipei on October 21, 1984, and gained national exposure in 2007 after competing in the second season of singing competition program One Million Star. After finishing sixth place, she made her small-screen debut on the Taiwanese TV series K.O.3an Guo, which starred George Hu, Xiu, Kirsten Ren, and lit the way for her subsequent role in drama series KO One Return. She made the professional jump to music in 2014 after scoring a record deal with Linfair Records and dropped her debut album, I'm Pets, that same year. 2015 proved a landmark year for Pets Tseng who won a hat-trick of awards, including the Most Popular New Artiste gong at the 15th Global Chinese Music Awards. In 2016, she was named Most Popular New Artist at the 2016 Hito Music Awards and her sophomore album, I Love You, Period!, came out in 2017. She signed a new recording deal with AsiaMuse Entertainment the following year and released Mandopop album Confession – her third full-length to date – in 2019, stepping in to co-write two of the LP's tracks, "Prayer" (尋找; xún zhǎo) and "Daddy Is..." 2022 saw the release of new soundtrack single "A Revolution of Love" on AsiaMuse Entertainment Co., Ltd.
