Pierre Hantaï, French harpsichordist, has distinguished himself in both ensemble and solo performances. With his two brothers, Marc the flutist and Jérôme the violinist, Pierre Hantaï founded the Concert Français, an early music ensemble. A disciple of Gustav Leonhardt, Pierre Hantaï distinguished himself in Jordi Savall's Concert des Nations and Sigiswald Kuijken's Petite Bande. With Jordi Savall, he was responsible for the soundtrack to the filmTousles matins du monde. His recordings on the Miraré label of Scarlatti's Sonatas and François Couperin's harpsichord pieces have become benchmarks.
