Piers Faccini

Born in England to an English mother and an Italian father, Piers Faccini was born in London on April 28, 1970. Arriving in France at the age of five, he attended school there before returning to England to begin his artistic career. His music is universal, drawing on the American sources of Jeff Buckley and Ben Harper. Leave No Trace, his 2004 debut album, went relatively unnoticed. Her next album, Tearing Sky (2006), was well received. His third opus, Two Grains of Sand (2009), is followed by the eclectic My Wilderness (2011). In 2013, Piers Faccini followed up with Between Dogs and Wolves, , a multi-climate album. The following year, he recorded Songs of Time Lost with his cellist friend Vincent Ségal. Its successor, I Dreamed an Island, was released in 2016, and plays the dreamy, exotic card with its use of oriental instruments. After Shapes of the Fall (2021), the songwriter delivers a second instalment of covers. Ten years after Songs I Love, Vol. 1 (2013), Songs I Love Volume II (2023) sees him perform songs by Nick Drake, Neil Young, Elliott Smith, PJ Harvey, Jimi Hendrix and Joni Mitchell, in the company of musicians from diverse backgrounds such as Oriane Lacaille, Mauro Durante, Can Cazaz, Dawn Landes, Sylvie Lewis, Guy Buttery and Nibs Van Der Spuy. In 2025, he teamed up with Malian kora player Ballaké Sissoko for the album Our Calling.
