From Italian variety to pop rock, blues, rumba, jazz and funk, guitarist Pino Daniele (1955-2015) has covered a wide range of styles in a career punctuated by albums and numerous collaborations (over a hundred). His solo career, mainly sung in the Neapolitan language, includes numerous hits such as the album Nera a Metà (1980) and the double live recording Scio Live (1984), including the titles "Napule è" and "Yes I Know My Way". A sought-after accompanist and ambassador of the fusion of world music with pop and rock, Pino Daniele leaves a legacy of some thirty albums recorded between 1977 and 2012. On January 4, 2015, he died of a heart attack at the age of 59.
