Plush

The heavy-hitting, all-female hard rock band Plush formed in 2020 in upstate New York. Moriah Formica, the group's frontwoman and guitarist, had previously appeared on The Voice's thirteenth season, earning praise from the show's judging panel with performance of Heart's "Crazy on You." With the show serving as a springboard for her career, she spent years touring with acts like Halestorm and Joan Jett before the Covid-19 crisis brought her schedule to a halt. She recorded a viral cover of another Heart classic, "Barracuda," during the pandemic, with drummer Brooke Colucci serving as her collaborator. That partnership quickly grew into a full-fledged band, with guitarist Bella Perron and bassist Ashley Suppa joining the lineup. "Hate," the girls' debut single, was released in 2021 and reached Number 24 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart, with the follow-up release "Athena" arriving shortly thereafter. Both songs were produced by Johnny K, the alt-rock kingpin behind hit albums by Staind and 3 Doors Down. Johnny K also helmed Plush's debut album, the self-titled Plush, which was released in 2021 and earned another Top 40 hit on the Mainstream Rock chart with "Better Off Alone." "Left Behind" followed in 2023, reaching number 33 on the Mainstream Rock chart and paving the way for another hit, 2024's "Run," which debuted at number 39.
