Rajat Nagpal

Rajat Nagpal's background in both Indian and Western classical music and his use of electronic production lends a crisp, contemporary feel to his musical offerings, which are often centered around his piano-playing. Born on March 11, 1993 in Fatehabad, Haryana, India, the singer, composer, mix engineer and producer began laying the foundations for his career while still at school and in 2017 fired up the engines with the song "SUIT SUIT," which was composed with Guru Randhawa for the Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama Hindi Medium. The following year, he received a nod at the Mirchi Music Awards for Listener’s Choice Album of the Year for Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety – also made in collaboration with Guri Randhawa – which soundtracked the Indian Hindi comedy film of the same name. He was also nominated at the IFA AWARDS 2018 for Best Music Direction for Indian comedy-drama film Tumhari Sulu, also crafted with Guru Randhawa. Together with Guru Randhawa, the pair have composed music for various other films including 2018 Indian romantic comedy Dil Juunglee, while Rajat Nagpal has also built a successful career making non-film music that has included the fresh, trap-tinged singles "Flirt" and "Hizar" featuring Jugni Sisters, both released in 2021.
