Born in Mumbai, India on September 6, 1990, Arjun Kanungo is a singer, composer, and actor. Outside of the entertainment business, he is also a basketball player, a three-time national Gold medal winner in Centre Fire Pistol, and entrepreneur. He is also active in promoting green energy. As an actor, he studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City, New York. Trained as a classical singer, he entered the music business at the age of 18 when he used his entrepreneurial skills and opened a recording studio in Mumbai. After pursuing many interests in and out of the entertainment industry, he achieved his first real success as a playback vocalist with the song “Khoon Choose Le”, which was taken from the film Go Goa Gone (2013). He followed that up with another hit, “Turn Chal Diye”, from the soundtrack to Pizza (2014). His first non-movie single, 2015’s “Baaki Baatein Peene Baad”, won the Best Music Debut – Non-Film award at the Global Indian Music Academy Awards. Further hit singles include “Fursat” (2016), “Saturday Saturday (Khul Jaaye Masti)” (2016), “Gallan Tipsiyaan” (2017), “Photograph” (2018), “Tum Na Ho” (2020), and “Waade Hai” (2020). As a composer, Arjun Kanungo has written music for TV adverts and televised sporting events. Returning to his playback roots, he has provided vocals for several Bollywood films. He has also branched out into acting in several Bollywood films including Radhe (2021).
