Rasta

Serbian rapper Rasta was born in Priština on November 16, 1989 under the real name Stefan Đurić. His parents both worked as professors at the University of Belgrade and fled to Srebrencia during the Kosovo war, where they lived with his grandmother. The rapper later moved back to Belgrade. As a teenager, he worked at Radio Belgrade and was responsible for a reggae show. His first mixtape Sensemilia Mixtape with features from LMR was released in 2009. A year later, he released One i lova (Them an Money), a collaboration with Kaseta and Cvija. In the same year, he was the warm-up act at the performance of the famous rapper 50 Cent in Belgrade. Rasta released his debut album Superstar in December 2011 and had his international musical breakthrough in 2014 with the hit "Kavasaki", which was viewed more than 60 million times on the internet. In summer 2015, the single " Kavali" was released, which was even more successful than "Kavasaki". The singles " Euforia" and "Hotel" released in 2016 paved the way for Rasta to become one of the most successful artists in his region. In winter 2017, he released the album Indigo. Together with the Balkaton Gang, the rapper released the album Air Max Reggea with the tracks "Mantra" and "Kombi" in 2019.
