Redjetson, a UK post-rock band, emerged in the early 2000s with a sound that blended atmospheric intensity and introspective lyricism. The band released their first untitled EPs in 2002 and 2003 under the Steinbeck label, featuring standout tracks like “08.08.88,” “Pieces Go Missing,” and “This, Every Day, For The Rest Of Your Life.” Gaining attention for their evocative style, Redjetson released their debut album, New General Catalogue, in January 2005 through Drowned In Sound Recordings. The album delivered emotive highlights such as “Divorce,” “Stay Comfortable,” and “This City Moans,” cementing the band’s place within the UK’s burgeoning post-rock scene. In 2007, they released the single “The Unravelling” / “Racing In The Mire” through Try Harder Records, hinting at a more refined direction. Despite their rising acclaim, Redjetson officially disbanded in 2008. Posthumously, their second and final album, Other Arms, was released in April 2009 via Gizeh Records, featuring tracks like “Soldiers & Dinosaurs,” “Beta Blocker,” and “Witches At The Controls.” The album marked a maturation of their sound, balancing haunting melodies with driving rhythms, and solidified Redjetson’s legacy as one of the most compelling acts in UK post-rock.
