Rekman Seller

Rekman Seller, whose real name is Mhidini Moussa, is a singer, songwriter and performer from Mauritania, born on August 11, 1995 in Kani-Kéli, Mayotte. He began his musical career in 2009 singing with his brothers, then joined the group Seller Dream. In 2013, he left Mayotte to pursue his studies and performed on stage in mainland France, singing songs in Shimaoré to promote his native language. Two years later, he returned to Mayotte and wrote"Waho Lover", a track that brought him significant notoriety on the island, accumulating over a million views on YouTube. In November 2016, his collaboration with Goulam on the track"Nyora Mbili", sung in Comorian and French, became an online success, exceeding 500,000 views. That same year, he was voted "Best Mahorais artist" at the Voix de l'océan Indien ceremony in Saint-Denis de La Réunion. Rekman Seller has enriched his discography with albums such as Soleil in 2019 and Kamisy in 2021. Notable singles include"Ne pars pas" (2020),"Hawa" (2019) and"Wawe" (2019). He has also collaborated with various artists, including Meiitod on"Mori Jana" in 2019 and Stacy on the remix of"Rayi mwen" in 2022. His musical style, blending RnB and Afrobeat, and his commitment to promoting Mahoran culture, have made Rekman Seller an emblematic figure on the Indian Ocean music scene.
