Rigoberta Bandini is the stage name of Spanish singer-songwriter, actress, and playwright Paula Ribó González. Born in Barcelona on April 30, 1990, she first rose to prominence as a voice actress, starring in several Universal and Disney films and becoming the Spanish voice for Emma Stone, Dakota Fanning, and Shailene Woodley. After graduating from the Institut del Teatre in 2011, she branched out into music and founded the group The Mamzelles with two college friends, releasing two studio albums between 2012 and 2014. In the subsequent years, the multi-talented artist created her own theatre company and appeared in several Catalan films and TV series. In 2019, she resumed her music career under the alias Rigoberta Bandini, attaining viral notoriety a year later with the single “In Spain We Call It Soledad.” She achieved further success with her 2021 single “Ay Mamá,” which peaked at Number 57 on the Spanish Singles Chart and became one of the finalists to represent Spain at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest.
