Robin McKelle

American singer Robin McKelle wishes she'd lived in the 1940s. Born in Rochester, New York, in 1976, she chose to revive memories by performing jazz standards from the swing era. Her warm, sensual voice is accompanied by a dazzling big band on the albums Introducing Robin McKelle (2006) and Modern Antique (2008). In 2010, Mess Around continued her repertoire of jazz, pop and soul, while Soul Flower (2012), as the title suggests, confirms the new style she began with The Flytones. The following album Heart of Memphis, released in early 2014, continues in this vein, as does The Looking Glass (2016).
