Born Joseph Armand Roch Voisine on March 26, 1963 in Saint-Basile (Canada), Roch Voisine is a Canadian pop singer. He gave his first show in the summer of 1986, in front of over 50,000 people at La Ronde in Montreal, on Canada Day. In 1988, he hosted the music show Top Jeunesse, and the following year played Danny Ross in the TV series Lance Et Compte. In 1989, he presents his first album, Hélène, with which he places eight songs on the Quebec charts, including " Hélène ", which stays at number one for 7 weeks. The album was certified triple platinum in 1992. In April 1990, he tours France for the first time, presenting his second opus, Double. He returned to Europe in March 1991 for further concerts. In 1992, he released the live album Europe Tour, with the song " La Légende Oochigeas ", which topped the charts for 8 weeks. In 1993, he received his wax statue at the Musée Grévin in Paris, and released an English-language album entitled I'll Always Be There, which went quadruple platinum in 1994. The title track stays at number one for 9 weeks. In 1994, Roch Voisine presents his new French-language opus Coup de Tête, followed by Kissing Rain in 1996, and Chaque feu ... in 1999. In the summer of 2000, he went into the studio to record a Christmas album in French, as well as one in English. He released ten more albums during the 2000s, including two Christmas albums, a live album and a compilation. In 2012, he collaborates with several artists, with whom he does duets, including Nana Mouskouri for the song " Adieu Angelina ", and Isabelle Boulay and Paul Daraîche for the track " À ma mère ". At the end of the year, after an 8-year absence from the recording scene, he presents the album Confidences , featuring original songs in French. In 2013, Roch Voisine releases an opus of his greatest songs in duet with his male and female singer friends. He presents both a European and a Quebec version of this album. At the end of 2015, he toured France, Belgium and Switzerland with Corneille and Garou on the Forever Gentlemen tour , where the trio covered the great classics of the 1950s. The album Devant Nous followed in March 2017, then a new Christmas single in November 2018 entitled " Mon Premier sapin blanc ". In October 2019, he marks the 10th anniversary of the Americana album with a compilation of the same name. In November 2021, he presents his version of the classic " Please Come Home for Christmas ".
