Rohff

Real name Housni Mkouboi, rapper Rohff was born in Antananarivo (Madagascar) on December 15, 1977. After working on his flow and rhymes in the Mafia K'1 Fry circle (113, Kery James), Rohff launched his career with a debut album in 1999, which met with only modest success. But in the 2000s, in the space of a few albums, the rapper of Comorian origin became one of the most popular rappers in France, even managing to place a rap single ("Qui est l'exemple?") at the top of the charts in 2002, something that hadn't happened since 1994 with IAM's "Le Mia". In 2009, the rapper performed at the Zénith in Paris, where he recorded his first live album. The following year saw the release of La Cuenta, which met with only relative success. Rohff returned in 2013 with the ambitious double CD P.D.R.G. for Pouvoir Danger Respect & Game. Two years later, he put together a new mixtape, Le Rohff Game, as a prelude to the Supernatural album. But he felt that the quality of the compositions gave it album status, and consequently decided to postpone its successor until 2016. Returning to independent production, Rohff continued his work on the double album Surnaturel, which was finally released at the end of 2018, with collaborations from Niro and L.E.C.K. It was announced as his final album, but this was not to be, as in 2021 he released Grand Monsieur , which featured contributions from a number of guests, including Gims, Jul, Naps and Dadju. At the end of 2023, he unveiled the single "Loyauté", the prelude to his album Fitna , released in 2024. It features contributions from Lyna Mahyem, Demon One, Big Ali and Le Rat Luciano. In June 2024, the title track was released in support of the opus, which reached ninth place in the French album charts.
