Born Ronald Oneil Spence, Jr. on September 14, 1992 in Camden, New Jersey, the producer, rapper, and songwriter is better known as Ronny J. While growing up, he was more interested in art and architecture than music, but his move to Miami, Florida to attend college changed all that. He became interested in producing music and creating beats. He became a member of hip-hop collective C9, which was led by Denzel Curry. In 2013, Ronny J entered the world o production when he worked on Metro Zu’s “Bakwood”. He followed that with three titles on Denzel Curry’s release Nostalgic 64. His unique beats attracted the attention of many of the local and national hip-hop artists and he collaborated with XXXTentacion (“#ImSippinTeaInYoHood” and others), Lil Pump (“I Love It”, “Movin’”), 6ix9ine (“Bebe”), Eminem (“The Ringer”, “Not Alike”), Iggy Azalea (“Kream”), and many others. Ronny J signed with Independently Popular/Atlantic Records and released his first mixtape, OMGRONNY, in 2018. In 2020, he released the hit single “Miami” (featuring Sfera Ebbasta and Duki)
