Rosa Chemical is the stage name of Italian rapper Manuel Franco Rocati, born on January 30, 1998. His name is a tribute to both his mother and the band My Chemical Romance. Hailing from Alpignano in Turin, he started off as a graffiti artist and then pivoted to rapping, using the monikers Ekios and Kranyo before settling on Rosa Chemical. His official debut arrived in 2018 with the single “Kournikova,” which was followed by the Greg Willen-produced single “Rovesciata,” included in his 2019 studio debut Okay Okay!! Towards the end of 2019, Rosa Chemical dropped the viral single “Tik Tok” in collaboration with Radical. Preceded by the singles “Polka,” “Lobby Way,” and “Boheme,” his second album Forever saw the light in 2020. An extended version titled Forever and Ever hit the shelves in 2021 and included the new singles “Britney ;-)” and “Polka 2 :-/,” which reached Number 16 on the Italian Singles chart and featured Gué Pequeno and Ernia.
