Initially known for his work in musical theater, Ross Antony rose to fame as a member of the multi-platinum German pop group Bro'Sis before reintroducing himself as a solo artist following the group's breakup in 2006. He was born in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, England, on July 9, 1974. A graduate of the Guildford School of Acting, he starred in various musicals throughout the 1990s, including a British tour of La Cage aux Folles. By the decade's end, he had moved to Germany, where he participated in the TV series Popstars – Du bist mein Traum and joined Bro'Sis upon the show's completion. Bro'Sis's debut single, "I Believe," was an international chart-topper, reaching Number 1 in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria in 2001. The group's debut album, Never Forget (Where You Come From), followed in early 2002 and also topped the charts in Germany. After releasing two additional albums, the group broke up in 2005. Antony briefly resumed his career as a musical theater star, then released the solo album Two Ways in 2011. 2014's Goldene Pferde marked his first time reaching the German charts as a solo artist, with the album reaching Number 65. Two years later, Tatort Liebe spent one week at Number 37, giving Antony his first Top 40 record. 2017's Aber bitte mit Schlager charted at Number 15, 2019's Schlager lügen nicht reached Number 8, and 2020's holiday-themed Lass es glitzern: Weihnachten mit Ross peaked at Number 32. Three years later, Antony returned to the Top 10 with 2023's 100% Ross.
