Bernhard Brink

Successful pop singer and TV and radio presenter: that's Bernhard Brink (* May 17, 1953 in Nordhorn, Germany). The musician dedicated himself to music as a young man and signed his first recording contract with Hansa Records in 1970 - after 16 semesters, he had to give up his law degree for the sake of music. Between 1974 and 1981, he had twelve singles in the German charts, with "Liebe Auf Zeit" (1977) in particular being crowned with success and reaching number 13 in the charts, but "Dafür Leb Ich" (1983) was also a firm fan favorite. his debut album Ich Bin Noch Zu Haben was released in 1976, followed by many more albums such as Einfach So (1982), Ich Bin Immer Da (1995) and his later, more commercially successful albums such as his fourteenth studio album Direkt Mehr (2001), which reached number 44 in the German charts. His eighteenth studio album, Verdammt Direkt (2005), made it to number 32, while even higher chart positions were achieved with the albums Mit Dem Herz Durch Die Wand (2017, number 14), Diamanten (2019, number 12) and Lieben Und Leben (2021, number 8). He is also the artist who has attempted to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest the most times - he has reached his goal six times. However, Bernhard Brink has had more success with other TV shows: he has been a radio and TV presenter in the pop genre since the nineties. Until January 2023, he will host the Schlager des Monats show on TV station MDR, among others. He previously celebrated his 50th stage anniversary with the best-of album 50. The album climbed to number 9 in the German charts. A new studio album, Stärker Als die Ewigkeit, followed in June 2024.
