A classically trained Swiss pianist, Stefan Rusconi turned to improvisation, taking lessons with renowned musicians and teachers. In 2001, he founded the Rusconi Trio, which won several young talent awards, and released the albums Scenes & Sceneries (2004), Stop & Go (2006) and Up Down Left Right (2009). After a collaboration with Tobias Preisig's quartet, the pianist reunited with his bandmates to record a tribute to Sonic Youth, It's A Sonic Life (2010). The band's evolution from jazz fusion to rock was acclaimed in 2012 with the release of the album Revolution.
