Rutshelle Guillaume

Rutshelle Guillaume, or simply Rutshelle, is a very popular singer and actress in Haîti. Born in Port-au-Prince on July 28, 1988, this pastor's daughter began singing in church as a child, before joining the REL group, made up of students from the Ecole Nationale des Arts, in 2007. Graduating with a degree in philosophy from the Université d'Etat d'Haïti, she taught and trained as a singer in parallel, before launching her musical career in 2014 with the album Emotions, from which the tracks "Wale" and "Kite m kriye" are taken. After a high-profile collaboration with Kaï on the song "Kanse" in 2017, Rutshelle Guillaume released her second album Rebelle (2018), accompanied by the singles "Denye won" and "Rendez-vous au sommet". In 2021, she released her third album, Quoi Qu'il Advienne, featuring contributions from Singuila, Salatiel, Wendyyy and Oswald. She then appeared in the cinema, in the film Vakans, released in 2022. In 2024, the track "Tolere W" reached number 13 in the French overseas charts.
