Saïna Manotte

Saïna Manotte is a French singer, songwriter and musician born on January 1ᵉʳ, 1992 in Cayenne, French Guiana. Her music is a blend of Creole chanson, Creole pop, zouk and French chanson, through which she expresses her attachment to Guyanese culture. Passionate about music from childhood, she learned piano and organ before pursuing studies in musicology and artistic engineering in the Paris region. In 2016, she embarked on a musical career with songs celebrating her cultural identity. She released the Poupée Kréyòl EPs in 2018 and 2019, followed by her debut album Ki moun mo sa in 2020, then Dibout in 2022 and finally the Baté EP in 2024. Saïna Manotte has won several Lindor awards for Guyanese music, including the "Femme de Culture" prize in 2020. In 2022, she became the first Guyanese singer selected to represent France at the Marché des Arts du Spectacle in Abidjan. Committed to promoting Guyanese culture and defending women's rights, she is today a key figure on the contemporary Creole music scene.
