Salut C'est Cool

This quartet of Parisian musicians, also art students, has been on the rampage since 2011, releasing one album a year in a genre that blends minimalist techno and electro-punk, all tinged with self-mockery. Under the guise of a proudly asserted "Do It Yourself" strategy, Salut C'est Cool, who sometimes call themselves Bonjour C'est Chouette, have succeeded in exporting their live performances beyond France, to Belgium, Switzerland and as far afield as Canada, in a gossipy spirit of camaraderie, family fun and offbeat poetry. While they make no explicit claim to bad taste or the desire to mock, the group tirelessly plays with the discomfort they can provoke in listeners. A trademark that attracted the interest of Barclay in 2015, who signed the band and released Mon Premier EP the same year, announcing in the process their fifth album, Sur le Thème des Grandes Découvertes, which quickly entered the album charts.
