Samarino

Benjamin Kalonda, better known as Samarino or Sama Baby, is a Congolese rapper and singer born on May 7, 1993 in Kinshasa. He began his musical career in 2015 with"Benda singa", a debut track that opened doors to the local music scene, although his recognition remained limited. His real breakthrough came in 2018 with the release of"La Katangaise", a track that met with dazzling success and crossed the borders of the DRC. The viral dance associated with the track, supported by Meghan Markle and broadcast on The Ellen Show, propelled Samarino internationally. He continued his trajectory, signing with Vessau Records and remixing his hit with Toofan. In 2023, he took a major step forward by joining the Bomayé Musik label, a collaboration that could mark a major turning point in his international career.
