Sathyaprakash Dharmar (born March 18, 1990 in Tamil Nadu, India), known as Sathyaprakash, is an Indian vocalist and playback singer. Born in a small village, Sathyaprakash learned Carnatic music from his grandfather, taking up advanced music training shortly after. Winning several local competitions, he rose to fame after finishing second in reality talent show Super Singer (television series), performing over 125 songs over the course of his playback career including “Nallai Allai” (Kaatru Veliyida) (2016) followed by the chart-topping “Aalaporaan Tamizhan” (Mersal)” (2017) and hit single “Oh Kalala Kathala” from Dear Comrade (2019), winning him the MGR-Shivaji Academy Award for Best Playback Singer. Respected widely for his solo work, Sathyaprakash has also released four Carnatic music albums, including Padatha Pattillai and Soundaryam and is known for his unique classical fusion arrangements. In 2022, he collaborated with Malaysian producers Dr MOTS & Kakis and Indian singer S.J Jananiy on Tamil ballad “Ponadhen Enadhuyire”.
