Scarlet Rebels

Scarlet Rebels are a dynamic Welsh alternative rock band hailing from Llanelli, South Wales, known for their anthemic sound and socially conscious lyrics. Formed in 2018, the band blend classic rock influences with modern sensibilities, creating powerful, riff-driven tracks that resonate with a wide audience. Fronted by the charismatic Wayne Doyle (vocals/guitar), the lineup also includes brothers Chris Jones (guitar) and Gary Doyle (drums), alongside Wayne Esmonde (bass) and Josh Townshend (guitar), nephew of The Who’s Pete Townshend. Scarlet Rebels gained recognition for their energetic live performances and thought-provoking songs, tackling themes such as political corruption, social injustice, and personal struggle. Their breakout album Show Your Colours (2019) received critical acclaim, showcasing their knack for infectious melodies and hard-hitting lyrics. They continued their rise with the 2022 album See Through Blue, which hit number seven on the UK Official Albums Chart and topped the Rock and Metal Albums Chart, solidifying their place as one of the most exciting emerging acts in the UK rock scene. They kept up the momentum on third offering Where the Colours Meet, which was released in 2024 and included a duet with multi-award-winning blues artist Elles Bailey on "Out of Time."
