British blues and rock quintet, Gorilla Riot hail from Manchester, where they formed in 2014 around singer and guitarist Arjun Bhishma. Combining blues, southern rock, stoner and country, the band also includes Charly T. (guitar, vocals), James Degnen (bass) and Matt Talbot (drums). As early as 2013, they distilled their American influences on the self-produced debut album Gorilla Riot (2013), followed by the EP Six Shots Down (2016). In 2018, after the single "Kerosene Clown", "Bad Son" paved the way for the country EP American Honey Vol. 1, before the 2020 release of the second album Peach, reviving electric two-guitar blues rock, while "Drowned" and other acoustic tracks are reserved for the Solace EP (2021). Several of Gorilla Riot's tracks appear on compilations, while the band prepares its third album Salvation (2024), which is released at #4 in the UK jazz and blues charts.
