Seungkwan

Seungkwan, born Boo Seung-kwan on January 16, 1998 in Busan, South Korea, is a South Korean singer and entertainer signed under Pledis Entertainment. He is a member of the popular South Korean boy group Seventeen and is part of the Vocal Team subunit. Raised in Jeju-do, South Korea, Boo showcased his musical talent from a young age by participating in song festivals at his school where a video of him singing caught the attention of talent scouts from Pledis Entertainment, leading to his casting in June 2012. Boo made his debut as a member of Seventeen with their EP 17 Carat on May 29, 2015. In 2018, he released the single "Kind of Love" for the soundtrack of the series Mother. The same year, Boo gained further recognition through his appearance on the talk show Unexpected Q and received the Rookie (Music and Talk) award at the 2018 MBC Entertainment Awards. Continuing his presence on television, Boo joined the cast of Prison Life of Fools and the talk show Five Cranky Brothers in 2019, contributing to the soundtrack of the series Record of Youth with the single "Go" on September 7, 2020 followed by "The Reason," from Lovestruck in the City in January, 2021. Over the next two years, he made several more television appearances including Job Dongsan alongside Kang Ho-dong and Super Junior's Eunhyuk, as well as Idol Dictation Contest, and Racket Boys. In January 2022, Boo was honoured with the Male Idol Entertainer award at the 2022 Korea First Brand Awards, later releasing "Pit a Pat" for the Link: Eat, Love, Kill soundtrack and "Still You" for the television series Romantic Doctor 3 in 2023.
