Shaun Martin, born March 9, 1977 in Dallas, Texas, is an American musician and producer renowned for his talent as a keyboardist and composer. Mostly associated with jazz, gospel and funk, Martin has enriched the music scene with his versatility and innovation. He is a member of several influential groups, including Snarky Puppy, a Grammy Award-winning instrumental collective. Shaun Martin's discography includes several notable albums. In 2015, he released his first solo album, 7 Summers, which was hailed for its harmonious blend of jazz, R&B and soul. In 2018, Focus was released, continuing his exploration of musical genres with a personal and contemporary touch, and followed in 2020 by Three-O. After a final collaboration with Snarky Puppy on the album Empire Central in 2022, Shaun Martin died on August 3, 2024 at the age of 45.
