Born on May 7, 1989, Shun'ichi Toki is a Japanese voice actor and singer hailing from Tokyo, Japan. Growing up in a music-oriented family, Toki's father fostered his interest in music from around the world, exposing him to not just different genres but also the English language from an early age. Initially reluctant to perform in front of a live audience, Toki underwent training with AMG (Amusement Media Gakuin), before signing with talent agency WITH LINE in 2013 and in 2016, Toki made his debut, voicing the character Leo de la Iglesia in cult anime series Yuri!!! On Ice. Branching out into music, his debut single, "The Promised Overture" (Yakusoku no Overture) was released on May 15, 2019, serving as the ending theme for the Spring 2019 anime Midnight Occult Civil Servants. The single reached number 15 on the Oricon chart with EP Party Jacker appearing only a few months later. 2020 saw the release of the mini-album True Gazer, which charted at number 14 and on May 18, 2022, Toki released his debut album, Good For, which achieved similar success, peaking at number 15. In 2023, the singer managed to stay within the top 20 with the release of EP Glorious World, unveiling new tracks "Another Birthday," "Envy" and "Science" in January 2024.
