Silent Siren

Silent Siren is a Japanese all-female band that formed in 2010, known for their blend of rock and J-pop. The group originally consisted of former fashion models Sumire "Suu" Yoshida (lead vocals and guitar), Aina "Ainyan" Yamauchi (bass guitar), Hinako "Hinanchu" Umemura (drums), and Ayana "Yana" Sōgawa (keyboard). They released their debut mini-album, Sai Sai, in February 2012, followed by Love Shiru in July 2012. After Ayana Sōgawa's departure in 2012, Yukako Kurosaka joined as the new keyboardist. The group made their major label debut in 2012 with the release of the single "Sweet Pop!" This was followed by "Stella" in February 2013. That same year, the band released their first full-length album Start (2013), peaking at number 16 on the Oricon chart. It was quickly followed by their second album, 31 Wonderland (2014), which peaked at number 4. They released a self-titled third album, Silent Siren, in 2015. Their biggest success was their fourth album S (2016) which reached third place on the charts. Its popularity helped the band land a record deal with Universal Music Japan, which released their subsequent albums Girls Power (2017) and 31313 (2017). In 2020, they celebrated their 10th anniversary with the release of their seventh album, Mix10th, and the launch of their official video-streaming channel.
