Electronic pop singer, songwriter, and actor Simon Curtis – born on March 18, 1986, in Michigan – is best known for starring in the Nickelodeon television musical Spectacular (2009) and for his solo musical career and work with electronic duo Wrathchild. Although born in Michigan, his family relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he graduated from high school in 2004. Pursuing a career in acting and music, he first came to prominence in a national touring production of the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Simon Curtis then took his first steps as a recording artist at the age of 20, working with producer Jadion (real name: Jeff Wells) on the tracks that became his debut 2006 EP release, Alter Boy. Simon Curtis made his film debut in Spectacular, a 2009 musical for cable channel Nickelodeon. After the success of the TV movie, he returned to his music career, working again with Jadion on his 2010 debut album, 8Bit Heart. He released the album as a free digital download, earning accolades from pop fans and raising his profile in the music community. In 2011, he released his next album, RA, which included the digital hits “Superhero” and “Flesh”. His third album, WWW, followed in 2013. Joining forces with Ro Danishei, they formed the electronic duo Wrathchild and released several singles and EPs in 2014. Simon Curtis returned to his solo career with the 2015 EP Love, S, followed the next year by the album Super 8-Bit Heart.
