Winner of the Italian edition of The Voice on June 5, 2014, Sister Cristina (Suor Cristina in Italian and Sister Cristina in English) is an authentic nun belonging to the Ursuline order. Cristina Scuccia was born on October 2, 1988 in Comiso, Italy. After becoming a nun, she sang in the religious musical Avant je n'étais pas croyante in 2008. But it was by covering songs by Kylie Minogue, Madonna or Irene Cara that she became a celebrity via the TV talent show The Voice of Italy. Released in October 2014, her version of "Like a Virgin" became popular across Europe. In November 2014, the singing nun released the album Soeur Cristina.
