Skilla Baby

Born Trevon Gardner on 12 October 1998 in Detroit, the US rapper known as Skilla Baby rose quickly through the hip-hop ranks to become one of Detroit's boldest new voices. He first began catching a buzz on YouTube before going on to make a sizable impact in 2019 with his debut album, Push That Shit Out Skilla, and its breakout single "Trevon." Under the guidance of fellow Detroit rapper and unofficial mentor Sada Baby, he went on to release the 2020 follow-up Crack Music, which featured Babyface Ray on the title track and Sada Baby on "Carmelo Bryant" as well as several other guest artists. He linked up with Sada Baby again for Carmelo Bryant in 2020 while dropping Crack Music 2 in 2022. Controversy arrived in 2023 along with We Eat the Most (Reloaded), for which he rallied the likes of G Herbo ("B'CUZ") and Luh Tyler ("Millionaire"). Meanwhile, he has contributed notable guest verses to a string of tracks, including Kash Doll and Baby Money's "Oh Boy" and Peezy's 's “2 Million Up” remix, both released in 2023, while racking up a healthy collection of his own singles, including 2019's "All My Life" and 2023's "Bae." Also in 2023, he joined forces with TJ Porter for "Going Up." Skilla Baby's new album The Coldest dropped on Geffen Records in 2024 and brought in rap features from the likes of Moneybagg Yo ("Richie"), G Herbo and Rob49 ("Mike Jack"), Polo G ("Misfit") and others.
