Small X, real name Abdessamad Lamriq, is a Moroccan rapper born on March 1ᵉʳ, 1991 in Safi, Morocco. He made his debut in 2006, co-founding the group Shayfeen with Chouaib Ribati, aka Shobee. Together, they made their mark on the Moroccan rap scene with tracks such as Ntouma Malkoum and Sahbi, which enjoyed widespread success on YouTube. In 2019, Small X joined forces with the Naar collective and collaborated with Dosseh on the track "Kssiri", strengthening his influence beyond Morocco. In early 2021, he goes solo with the single "XXL" and the Phoenix EP, representing a new phase in his career. He also contributes the track Thezz to ElGrande Toto's album Caméléon. Small X stands out for his numerous collaborations with major artists on the MENA scene, such as ElGrande Toto, KTYB in Tunisia, and Bu Kolthoum in Egypt. In 2023, he took part in "Rajieen", a charity art project in support of Gaza.
