So Hee Song

Song So-hee, born on October 20, 1997, in Yesan, South Korea, is a renowned traditional Korean folk singer, widely known as the "Traditional Music Girl" (국악소녀). She gained national fame in 2008 at the age of 11 after winning the KBS National Singing Contest, becoming the youngest grand prize winner in the show's history. Specializing in Gyeonggi minyo (folk songs from Korea's central region), she has captivated audiences with her clear, powerful voice and mastery of traditional techniques. Trained under esteemed folk singers Park Seok-sun and Lee Ho-yeon, Song has performed at prestigious domestic and international events, including the closing ceremony of the 2014 Sochi Winter Paralympics. In recognition of her contributions to Korean culture, she was named "Best Korean of the Year" in 2010. After signing with Warner Music Korea, she released several albums blending traditional and modern styles. Since joining Magic Strawberry Sound in 2022, she has continued innovating with releases such as "Journey to Utopia" (2022), "Infodemics" (2023) in collaboration with Jambinai’s Lee Ilwoo, and EP GANGGANGSULLAE (2024).
