Before launching her music career in 2019 with appearances on multiple Disney soundtracks, Sofia Wylie earned her first accolades as a dancer and Young Entertainer Award-winning actress. Born in Scottsdale, Arizona, on January 7, 2004, she began dancing at a young age, appearing on the American television show So You Think You Can Dance in 2011 and joining Justin Bieber's Purpose World Tour as a backup dancer at age 12. The tour concluded in 2017, the same year Wylie began starring in Disney's top-rated cable TV series Andi Mack. She remained with the show for three seasons. By 2019, Wylie's career had expanded to include movie roles, voice-over work for the Marvel Rising animated series, and musical opportunities. Her first single, "Side By Side," was recorded for the Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts special and released in January 2019, one month before Wylie landed a role in Disney's High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. The show made full use of her dancing, acting, and singing abilities, with Wylie appearing on the soundtracks for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' first season and subsequent holiday special in 2020, singing songs like "Start Of Something New" and "This Christmas (Hang All The Mistletoe)."
