Southern Hospitality

Southern Hospitality is an American blues trio featuring JP Soars (vocals, guitar), Damon Fowler (lap-steel guitar) and Victor Wainwright (keyboards). A Californian musician born in 1969, John Paul Soars played in a number of bands including Malevolent Creation, Divine Empire and then JP Soars & the Red Hots, before teaming up with Damon Fowler and Victor Wainwright to form Southern Hospitality, who recorded a long-untitled album, Easy Livin' (2013). The leader, who then resumed his solo career, released the album Brick by Brick in 2024. That same year, he reunited with his two former partners to record, eleven years after Easy Livin', a second album entitled Yard Sale, which reached No. 5 in the blues charts.
