Edgard Doamo (August 16, 1991), better known by his stage name S-Pion, is a French MC from the neighborhood of Tarterêts in Corbeil-Essonnes. He started rapping in 2009, shortly after dropping out of high school, as a member of the hip-hop collective TZ Ilicite. Following a series of short stints in prison, S-Pion became Internet famous thanks to a series of videos by IGD Gang and PNL, and later appeared on the latter’s debut EP, Que la Famille (2015) alongside F430 and MMZ. He kept the momentum going with features on PNL’s first full-length, Le Monde Chico (2015), and MMZ’s “Quelle Vie,” from their 2016 album Tout pour le Gang. After serving a brief prison sentence, S-Pion unveiled the single “Fuck Mes Rêves” in 2018, which helped build anticipation around his studio debut. The rapper’s frequent run-ins with the law delayed the release of Sourou, his long-awaited first full-length, which ended up seeing the light in July 2019 via Arista. Only a year later, the MC known as S-Pion dropped Sourou 2 (Initialisation), his long-awaited second album, featuring Tiitof (“Sourou X Sparta”), Jok’air (“Merry Dior”), and F430 (“Top Boy”).
