Sri Krishna – born Srikrishna Vishnubhotla on August 17, 1983, Hyderabad, India – is a playback singer and music director who is known for his work in Telugu cinema (aka Tollywood). Influenced by playback singer, composer, and lyricist M. M. Keeravani, he began singing at a young age, entering several competitions and performing in various stage shows. After earning his bachelor’s degree from P. B. Siddhartha Arts College, he began to pursue singing as a career. He made his playback debut in the 2004 film Maa Ilavelpu but didn’t achieve commercial recognition until his performance of “Aadinchi Ashta Chamma,” which was featured in 2008’s Ashta Chamma. He then became an in-demand playback singer and worked with composers such as Vandemataram Srinivas, Sri Koti, Devi Sri Prasad, Mani Sharma, Vidyasagar, Srilekha, and many others. A prolific artist, Sri Krishna has recorded songs for popular films such as 2009’s Arundhati (“Chandamama Nuvve Nuvve”), 2011’s Golconda High School (“Idi Adenemo”), 2013’s Pavitra (“Okkasari Vacchi Po – dhulatirinda”), 2015’s 365 Days (“Aa Devudu Puttinchadu”), 2017’s Venkatapuram (“Kokkoroko”), 2019’s Pahalwan (“Prema Kaalam”), 2020’s World Famous Lover (“My Love”), and 2022’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata (“Ma..
