Stahlmann was founded in 2008 in Göttingen, Germany, and plays Neue Deutsche Härte, a genre that combines metal with electronic influences. The band currently consists of Martin Soer (vocals), Mario Lange (guitar), Dimitrios "Tacki" Gatsios (drums) and Emu (bass). They are known for their eye-catching silver body paint and their energetic live performances. The debut album Stahlmann was released in 2010 and laid the foundation for their career. the album Quecksilber followed in 2012, reaching number 39 in the German charts and celebrating great success with the single "Tanzmaschine". Their third album CO2 (2015) made it to number 22 in the charts and cemented their reputation in the scene. Another success was the album Bastard (2017), which reached number 36 in the German charts. The album Quarz was released in 2021, and the single "Sündenfall" reflects the band's unmistakable style of hard riffs and electronic beats. The album Phosphor followed in 2024. The album reaches number 50 in Germany. Despite their proximity to bands like Rammstein, Stahlmann have carved out their own place in Neue Deutsche Härte.
