Stavo

A member of 13 Block, formed in 2012 in his hometown of Sevran, Seine-Saint-Denis, Stavo played an active part in the success of this group mixing drill and trap, which took shape through the studio albums BLO and BLO II, as well as a handful of mixtapes, XIII, Violence Urbaine Émeute, ULTRAP and Triple S between 2014 and 2020. Previously known as Zaiko, then Zhédess, DeTess, before opting for the pseudonym Stavo, Romuald Gomes signed to the Elektra label as a solo artist in May 2021. Gifted with a deep voice, the rapper of Zairean-Angolan origin declaims dark lyrics evoking drug trafficking and money. He released his first EP, Kipsta, in December 2021, before going on to release the album TVX a year later, featuring contributions from 1PLIKÉ140, Alpha Wann, Zefor, Zed and Freeze Corleone, with whom he recorded the single "Réunion". The rapper returned in 2024 with the album Il Était une fois, featuring nine tracks, including "Commerce" conceived with Josman and "Le Terrain tourne " with TH. The album forms a complete package with Éviter la Misère, a second instalment that follows a few weeks later. This too features two collaborations, with Osirus Jack and Lesram. The double album received rave reviews from the public, reaching number 33 in the French charts.
