Strawberry Prince is a Japanese boy band formed by streamer Nanamori in 2016. After making a name for himself by posting cover versions on the streaming site Nico Nico Douga, Nanamori invited other content creators to join his new musical project. The group is composed of six members: Nanamori, Jel, Satomi, Colon, Rinu, and Root. Each member of the band uses an animated avatar to represent themselves, only revealing their faces during live performances and public events. Even though Strawberry Prince had been uploading material to their video-streaming channel since 2016, it wasn't until 2019 that they made their official debut with the mini-album Strawberry Start, which climbed to Number 2 on the Oricon weekly charts. Strawberry Love!, their gold-selling first studio album, arrived later that year and quickly rose to Number 1 in Japan, selling over 107,000 copies in its first week and achieving gold certification by the RIAJ. Ten months after their second LP Strawberry Next! (2020) peaked at Number 2 on the Oricon Albums Chart, the group repeated the feat once again with Strawberry Prince (2020), their second studio effort to go Number 1 in Japan. Both albums were certified platinum. Following the release of their first EP Are You Ready? and Nanamori's departure in 2022, Strawberry Prince scored the third Number 1 record of their career in December of that year with their third album, Here We Go!!
