Super Yei, born Omar Alejandro González on April 30, 1990, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, built his reputation as a producer before stepping into the spotlight as a singer and songwriter in the urban music scene. Early in his career, he worked behind the scenes with industry heavyweights like Farruko, Ñengo Flow, and Nicky Jam, shaping the sound of reggaetón and Latin trap. His transition to performing began in 2016 with "Toco Toco" alongside Kendo Kaponi, Juanka, and Yomo, followed by the breakout hit "Me Llama Todavía" in 2017. That same year, he gained traction with tracks like "Voy a Poner A Prueba Sus Nombres" featuring Farruko and Anuel AA, and the remix of "Obsession." His 2018 debut album, Euphoria, solidified his place in the genre with collaborations on standout tracks like "Cuidao" and "Si Yo Sé." He continued his rise with Eternity (2020), featuring "Plaga Remix" and "Candela." Even through the pandemic, he maintained momentum, cementing his status as a key figure in Latin urban music.
