Californian of American and Korean descent, Susie Suh's artistic role models include Fiona Apple and Joni Mitchell. In 2005, her folk-inspired pop gave rise to the album Susie Suh, produced by Glen Ballard. Five of the album's songs were featured in the TV series One Tree Hill, but this did not lead to success for the artist. A more folk-oriented album, The Barkman Tapes, was releasedin 2011. Susie Suh finally won over Europe in 2014 with her song "Here With Me", produced with German DJ Robot Koch.
